Emergency Department Attendances between 2010 and 2014

The following graphs present trends in injury  related Emergency Department attendances in Wales between 2010 and 2014.  This data was obtained from the EDDS dataset and injuries were defined as those attendances with an injury diagnosis.

The first graph compares injury related attendances to non-injury attendance rates, between 2010 and 2014.

Using EDDS data from 2010 to 2014, the following diagram maps the primary diagnosis code with the primary anatomical area. The size of the link  between the diagnosis and body part is proportional to the number of cases e.g. most fractures occur in the upper limbs.
